Plasticity at small strains with or without hardening
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Abstract: Small-strain plasticity in its quasistatic formulation
based on the energetic-solution concept will be presented, with
the focus to the limit to the Prandt-Reuss elastic/perfectly
plastic model when hardening parameters go to zero. Beside
mere isothermal quasistatic evolution, also thermodynamical
augmentation of these models will be discussed for isotropic
materials undergoing thermal expansion. Numerical analysis will
be outlined. The talk will be accompanied by sample computational
experiments performed by S.Bartels (Univ.Bonn).
