Adrian Lew (Stanford University, USA) "Discontinuous Galerkin methods for nonlinear elasticity" Abstract. In this talk we will present a class of DG methods for nonlinear elastic problems with a solution methodology that makes the use of DG competitive to other schemes. We have also created a stabilization scheme that automatically determines the spatial distribution of the size of the stabilization term, which enables the automatic, robust and efficient solution of complex loading paths for nonlinear elastic bodies. Theoretical and numerical convergence and stability results for the elasticity problem will also be presented.
